Food Network Series Beach Eats to Feature Bill’s By The Beach and Executive Chef Jon Gibson in Upcoming Episode
Restaurant invites guests to premiere party to be held on the evening the show airs
Bill’s By The Beach is proud to announce that Executive Chef Jon Gibson will be featured in the August 26 2015 episode of Food Networks new series Beach Eats.
In each hour episode of the series, Curtis Stone travels to paradise locations all over the map to track down culinary treasures and hidden gems known for legendary dishes in the region. Curtis does his best to unearth some of the best known and unknown delicious eats in paradise.
I am excited to share my passion for creating delicious dishes with viewers of the Food Network, stated Bill’s By The Beach’s Executive Chef Jon Gibson. I hope to inspire people to seek out the best meals with the freshest ingredients, no matter where they are. In Gulf Shores, I believe both can be found at Bill’s By The Beach.
Chef Jon’s seasonal menu features touches of Southern, Southwest, Pacific Rim, and European cuisines, reflecting a broad range of culinary inspirations. While attending Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Pasadena, CA, Chef Jon was fortunate to work alongside Cat Cora and Guy Fieri at the 2006 L.A. Food and Wine Festival, and to apprentice with two-star Michelin Chef Édouard Loubet. As Executive Chef at the Beachcomber Cafe at Crystal Cove, Laguna Beach, CA., he was labeled King of Coastal Cuisine in Orange County, CA. Chef Jon has been delivering creative and classic cuisine at Bill’s By the Beach since 2014.
The Beach Eats episode featuring Bill’s By The Beach will highlight Chef Jon’s southern-inspired Shrimp & Grits dish, made with course ground yellow grits from Oakview Farms Granary in Wetumpka AL, which are known for their robust flavor and distinctive texture. We slow-cook the grits in-house with milk and gouda cheese, cover them with homemade authentic red-eye gravy, and top them off with blackened wild-caught Gulf Shrimp, tomato, and red and green onion concasse.
Chef Jon’s savory Bacon and Crab cheesecake creation, with rich flavors of bacon, crab, cream cheese and Vidalia tomato jam, will also make an appearance on the show. Made entirely from scratch in-house, this popular and delicious appetizer is suitable to share.
Join us for a premiere party at Bill’s By The Beach on August 26, 2015, at 9:00 p.m. to enjoy samples of both dishes featured on the show. We will also serve the popular Argentinean cocktail known as Tincho, made with New Age over ice and garnished with a lime wedge for a refreshing summery flavor.
